Djuma and his new brother Taco! Taco was a stray and Chris and John took him in. Djuma and Taco are great buddies!Djuma looks so much like Elsa!

This pic of Eli was taken 12/20/10 Eli lives with Dozer the cat. Dozer has a fit when Eli comes for visits. And he is always excited to have him come back home!

Seeing Djuma here reminds me of him sitting on my computer desk watching me update the website! He is still that sweet puppy!

Luke and Nala went backpacking in Kentucky and she had a ball. Check back for some info about their trip. Thanks Luke! Luke writes:" We only got pictures from the first day becase it poured the rest of the time. She did great though. She carried her backpack with no problem and even climbed some rather steep rock faces with a little help. On a couple of occasions she went to chase some squirrels but responded perfectly to "leave it". She was truly in her element and proved herself worthy of more trips."

Juneau has welcomed a baby sister Sierra to the family, and owner Tim tells me he is being very good with the new baby!

Juneau at one year old. We hear he loves to chase the bunnies! Sounds like he will love Lure Coursing.

How Sedona got her name. We went on vacation to Arizona shortly after our five year old ridgeback was taken prematurely due to cancer. While there we visited a wonderful town named Sedona. It is known for its beautiful red landscapes as well as its calming effect on those who visit. When we arrived home we decided to add another ridgeback to our home, having had two and been pleased with both. We chose a female this time and wanted a name that would fit both her calm personality and appearance. We narrowed it down to two choices, Pheonix or Sedona. Pheonix because of the "rising from the ashes" since our beloved Bucky had just been cremated , and Sedona for the reasons listed previously. When we looked into the history of the naming of the town Sedona we discovered that it was named for a woman who was one of twelve siblings. As fate would have it our new girl was one of twelve also. At that point it became obvious what her name would be. She has been both calm and beautiful just like her namesake. Robin and Mark
